Pediatric Transplant Seminar

*WCTF Mission Triad is Training, Teaching, and Technology

Project Summary:

As more transplant centers are established around the globe, the number of medical staff in need of proper pediatric transplant education continues to grow. However, many countries lack the necessary experts to provide the training necessary to facilitate successful pediatric transplants with the newest technology available. We propose to facilitate the first annual WCTF Pediatric Transplant Seminar. Bring together pediatric transplant experts here in the United States to teach and train transplant staff in need of increased pediatric training, and updated training on new medical technology, from around the globe. Our goal is to bring together at least 20 medical personnel from centers in most need of updated training, with an emphasis on pediatric transplants for a 3 to 7-day training seminar in the U.S., with the intent to establish new training, skill sets and relationships with the experts necessary to cultivate an increase in successful pediatric transplants world-wide. We ask for your support to provide training facilities, food and travel expenses for all experts and trainees invited to attend this important pilot training seminar. We will request experts to volunteer their time, but cover all expenditures related to their commitment to assist with this important project.
